Radio Code Nissan Juke F15

The Nissan Juke F15 is a car full of surprises — and that applies to its radio security too. Whereas some brands use a timer to reset things after wrong attempts, the Clarion radio in the Juke F15 works differently: three wrong codes and the radio refuses any further input. There's no hour-long waiting period built into the system. The only way back is the correct code, and you request that using the serial number. Finding that serial number is therefore the first priority.

The first-generation Nissan Juke (F15) was built from 2010 to 2019. For the European market, Nissan supplied the Juke with Clarion as its audio supplier:

Clarion basic radio — a single-DIN unit with a CD player, AM/FM and a compact display. Standard on lower-spec Juke versions. After a power interruption: a code-entry prompt appears on the display.

Clarion with navigation — a navigation variant with a touchscreen, available on higher trim levels. This system also has a serial number on the unit and uses a traditional code.

In later F15 variants (particularly after the 2014 facelift), more modern infotainment systems became available, sometimes with smartphone integration. The code procedure remains similar across all Clarion units.

This is the critical point with the Juke F15: the Clarion radio has no automatic timer mechanism that resets the attempts after an hour. After three wrong codes the system locks.

In practice, that means:

• Don't enter the code if you're not sure of it. Request the serial number first and work out the correct code before you begin.
• Already had two wrong attempts? Then stop. Look up the serial number and request the code. Only use your third attempt when you're certain of the correct code.
• Is the radio already locked? Then the serial number is the only way out. With the correct serial number you can request the matching code, which will lift the lockout when entered.

The serial number of the Clarion in the Juke F15 is on the device itself. Two routes:

Via the display (on some variants)

Some Clarion units in the Juke have a diagnostic menu accessible via a button combination. Check the manual or search online for the specific method for your model (Clarion CY001 or similar). The serial number may be visible in this menu.

By removing the radio

This is the most reliable method:
